BEDA as an Old Person
Hello!
My old BEDA Buddy Julia decided to do BEDA again this year, 11 years after our very first BEDA. I thought this sounded like a fun thing to do, so here I am! I'm not sure if I'll actually manage EVERY day this month, but I'll see what I can do!
I've done a few blog projects since BEDA 2009, but that's really what started it all. And man, things have changed a LOT since then, considering I was in my senior year of high school in April of 2009. Since then I've graduated high school, college, and graduate school. I got married (he's cool, I like him a lot). I moved away from my home town and then I moved back. We got a dog. We dealt with cancer (him) and infertility (me) and then I got pregnant via IVF. My husband is still a little bit cancer-y sometimes, and now I'm sitting here at nearly 36 weeks pregnant, excited to welcome our baby girl sometime in April or early May.
I'm not sure what this blog will look like. For one thing, I have no idea what blogger looks like visually these days. But also, my day to day life is fairly boring right now! I've decided to go into Hermit Gestating Mode for the month of April, so unless I give birth unexpectedly, it's probably going to be a lot of information about what I'm reading, playing, or watching at any given time.
To that end, I should say, I've developed this weird coping mechanism in which I watch Gilmore Girls over and over again to deal with stress. I do occasionally watch new shows or rewatch other shows, but Gilmore Girls is my go-to. There's actually an episode on in the background at this very moment.
I watch much less YouTube than I used to overall, but I've started watching Game Grumps with my husband. I've also started playing some videogames since the first BEDA, which is new to me! My absolute favorite is Stardew Valley. I'll also hop on Minecraft sometimes. Those are the main ones, but I try other ones every once in a while. I'm pretty excited for the new Animal Crossing to come out for the Switch. I played a little bit of my husband's old copy on Gamecube, and I thought it was pretty fun!
As far as reading goes, I do a lot of rereading of old favorites. I think I'm going to start reading a book by Terry Pratchett next though. He's my husband's favorite author. I've read a couple of his books, and I think now's a good time to read another one. They're funny and clever, but also really different than what I usually read.
I may also do a little bit of writing about all the time in between blogging. So much has happened, and it would probably be fun and/or cathartic for me to write about some of it, depending on the event.
I think that's enough for today! Hopefully I'll get into the swing of things a bit more as the month goes on.

In terms of an idea for a future post, I'd like to hear your thoughts on Gilmore Girls and the criticism surrounding Rory's character. Did you watch the renewal? Do you have a favourite episode? Etc.!
